I think what Stewart and his staff did here is excellent work, but I find Bunch’s argument less than persuasive.
Stewart and his staff devote enormous resources to a very specific skill set: filling their TiVo’s with huge volumes of cable news and finding embarrassing tidbits. They’re very skillful at it, but the notion that mainstream newsrooms should shift the necessary resources to this particular task seems more than a little odd.
