Double Shocker

The mind reels:

In what might be one of the most remarkable about-faces ever to come from within the beltway, James Inhofe, Senator and minority ranking member of the Environment and Public Works Committee (R. OKLA), apologized to a stunned Senate chamber for calling climate change the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”

“It’s time for leadership in Washington on climate change,” said Inhofe. “To date, I have been an obstacle to that leadership, and that changes today.”

Then the room starts to spin:

CBS News has obtained exclusive archival footage providing irrefutable evidence that so-called “progressive” blogger Joe Romm is in fact an active participant in the Tea Party movement.

    April 1 starts early

You almost had me with James Inhofe as early onset is a possibility.

But Joe Romm at a Tea Party ? I do not think he even likes tea !

  3. It might be true about Romm. For example, a look at his latest post reveals he is quite reasonable:

Although it didn’t make the headlines…

Yesterday, Michael Mann revealed that the hockey stick climate resonstruction was indeed a hoax.  In a fit of conscience, Mann revealed the critical role played by the Koch brothers, acting in concert with Senator Inhoff and unamed oil company CEOs.

Mann protrays himself as a naive, but useful, idiot who fell prey to promises of fortune, fame, and long legged women.  Only later did he discover it was all part of grandious right wing conspiracy to have liberal environmentalists discredit themselves once and for all.

A chagrined Mann wanted the public to know that, while he is still very much afraid of the weather, the hockey stick is, sadly, not real.

One wonders what role the prominent climate auditors M&M, and perhaps the good Bishop Hill, may have played in contriving the hoax, the unwinding of which has led them to fame.

    How deep the onion layers?
